What is 3D printing?
A 3D printer is a device that creates objects from plastic by melting a filament and depositing it layer by layer. A 3D printer is contains some very advanced technology and may take considerable time and effort to fully master. However, a novice can get started quickly making basic objects using the available wealth of on-line resources . Here are some links to get you started:

Start by learning
Learn the different aspects of printing a 3D object with PLA filament under the guidance of a tekSPACY maker. This includes printer calibration, preparation of your design file and finishing the completed print. You shall also be required to know and practice the tekSPACY safety rules.
A tekSPACY maker will get you started on the path to get use a 3D design application such as 123Design. You shall modify an existing design or create a new design from scratch. At the end of this phase you should be able to print, display and use your design.
Make your own
At this point you shall have received maker status for 3D printing. You shall be able to make and sell your 3D printed designs without supervision.
